The SABN has been around for over 20 years!  The group began while alpaca breeders manning their booths at Canadian Western Agribition, in Regina, Saskatchewan identified a real need to have a show in this venue. Over supper one night and subsequent of conference calls, this group was born! The first general meeting was called on February 27, 1999 in Saskatoon, SK. About 36 breeders had been identified in Saskatchewan at that time and it was very encouraging to see about 28 of them represented at this meeting..
